As the Holidays are just around the corner, we at Amandus – Lillehammer International Student Film Festival are finishing up everything that needs be done before the new year. At the same time we are eager to continue programming the best festival ever next year.

In December we have also launched two important news regarding the coming festival: The film competition Amandus OPEN is now open for submissions – a competition for all filmmakers under the age of 26 from the Nordic countries. In addition we have announced the thematic focus for the coming project Amandus UTTERANCE, which this year will focus on democracy and freedom of speech in relation to our fast evolving media society.

A screenplay competition has also been announced, which this year will have the term “fake news” as its focus.

The submission deadline for all the film competitions, both Amandus OPEN and Amandus STUDENT, is February 1st. The screenplay competition has deadline a month later, on March 1st.

With this said, we want to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
