The swimming hall

The documentary film Halli addresses body-related commentary and its impact on people’s body image. Anonymous stories are set in a swimming hall, where we see a variety of body types. Finnish swimming hall culture respects body privacy.

In the film, we follow stories from the women’s locker room to the pool, highlighting the experiences of different generations and the body image challenges they face, reflecting the trauma passed down from one generation to the next.
