The dates for the 33rd edition of the festival are here, and we have a new festival director on board.
The 33rd edition of Amandus – Lillehammer International Student Film Festival will also this year be held in Lillehammer the week before Easter. The festival will start on Wednesday April 1st, and last until Saturday April 4th.
There will also be some changes to the staff this year, and we are pleased to announce Eivind Myklebost Nordengen as the festival director from today until next April.
Nordengen has much experience with Amandus, and has for the last three years been working as producer and program manager for the festival. He is educated with a masters degree in film and television science from Lillehammer University College, and worked as the director of The Norwegian Student Film Festival before the fusion with Amandus in 2016.
– I am very grateful for the opportunity of leading the coolest, and, in my opinion, the most important film festival in the Nordic countries, and look very much forward to start planning next years festival.
Nordengen is functioning as a substitute for Stine Marie Solem (on the header image), who is on maternity leave.
Film submission for the coming festival will open in the beginning of the fall.
