The Amandus Blikkfang Film Festival returns for its third edition this September, bringing together the brightest and most talented film students and independent young filmmakers from across the Nordic countries. Set in the picturesque town of Lillehammer, the three-day festival serves as a platform for emerging artists to showcase their creative prowess and network with fellow filmmakers.
Since last fall, the festival has been accepting submissions and has already received an impressive collection of films. However, there’s still time for aspiring filmmakers to submit their work, as the deadline is on June 20th. The Amandus Blikkfang team eagerly invites film students and young filmmakers from all Nordic countries to submit their films and participate in this exciting event.
To ensure fair competition and maintain the festival’s focus on young talent, participants are required to adhere to the following rules:
- Eligible films must either be produced by filmmakers aged 20-26, or created as part of a higher educational institution, such as a film school or similar program. Note that the age limit does not apply to student productions.
- Films must not exceed a running time of 30 minutes.
- All submitted films must have been completed after June 15, 2022.
- Films must be considered Nordic in origin, meaning that the production country must be Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, or associated regions (Greenland, Faroe Islands, Åland, etc). Additionally, film students from Nordic countries studying abroad are welcome to submit their films.
The Amandus Blikkfang team will carefully review all submissions to ensure they meet the specified requirements. Films that do not comply with these rules will not be considered for the festival.
