Film competitions
Note: The deadline for submitting short films to Amandus Blikkfang 2024 has passed. We will open registration for 2025 during the fall.
Competition rules:
- The film has to either be a
- Student film (the filmmaker can be any age, as long as they were a student at an higher educational institution and the film was made i).
- A film made by someone aged between 20-26 years during production
- We accept all films completed after 01.01.2024, though films that were submitted for the festival in 2024 cannot be submitted again for 2025.
- The origin country of the film has to be one of the five Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland).
- The film cannot exceed 30 minutes.
How to submit a film on FilmFreeway
FilmFreeway has over the last few years become the international standard for film festival submissions, and if you want to submit your film to various festivals, you may just as well get started using it right away.
How to submit:
- Create a user account on FilmFreeway
- Add a new project and fill in all necessary information.
- You can upload your screener directly to FilmFreeway, or you may link to YouTube, Vimeo etc.
- Find the festival, click Submit, and select your film from the list of your projects. Answer the necessery questions provided by the specific festival.
- Complete and check out.
