The new festival for film students and young adults has finally gotten a name: Amandus BLIKKFANG
The name directly translates to “eye-catcher”, which we believe captures the essence of what this festival should be: a place where you can watch eye-catching films, made by filmmakers you should keep an eye out for. It’s a film festival where you can “catch nordic film talents”.
We have for the time being decided not to have the name translated into English. The name can be understood both in Swedish and Danish, and for everyone else, we hope that serving a completely Norwegian word will give some excotic vibes.
Amandus Blikkfang Film Festival will be held in Lillehammer from September 24 – 26, and hopefully as “analogue” as possible, though there will be a digital alternative for participants who can’t travel.
The film competition has received a record breaking amount of films this year, so we are looking forward to dive into many, many hours of quality films this summer.
