Nominated filmmaker

Information to filmmakers attending Amandus Blikkfang.

This is a compilation page with information for nominated filmmakers at Amandus Blikkfang.

Festival accreditation

As a nominated filmmaker, you will receive accreditation that grants access to the entire main program* of the festival.

Register here

Choose Filmmaker Accreditation, then select the film you are associated with and the role you had in it (films are listed with their English titles).

Initially, we plan for a maximum of 3 individuals per film, but we are open to some flexibility if needed.

*Certain special events may have separate registrations or ticket sales. Information regarding this will be provided in the program.

Film Screening and Conversation with Filmmakers

All the films are divided into six screening blocks that are presented at the festival in approximately this structure:

(A more detailed program schedule will be available closer to the festival).

Each program block will last approximately 75-90 minutes and will be followed by a conversation with attending filmmakers. We hope as many as possible will be interested in attending to represent their film and participate in the discussion.

If you have a specific day or time slot you’d like your film to be screened, please get in touch as soon as possible. While we can’t guarantee to accommodate all requests, we will do our best to accommodate them.

Screening File for the Festival

We would like you to submit a high-quality version of the film for the screening. The festival mostly takes place at a location outside of regular cinemas, so we are not asking for DCPs. You can submit screening files in 1080p, 2k, or 4k, preferably in mp4 or mov format. We accept both ProRes and h.264.

Screen-ready films should be sent to us by September 10th.

You can use services like WeTransfer, FileMail, Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo, etc. If there’s an expiration date on the download, please make sure it doesn’t expire before September 10th (or even a bit later), as we may not be able to download it in time.

Amandus Blikkfang is an international festival. Therefore, all films must have English subtitles, either hardcoded or provided as an attached SRT file (or similar). If the subtitles are hardcoded, we prefer that they do not cover the letterbox, especially if the format is in cinemascope (21:9).

Travel and accommodation

Travel to Lillehammer

We do not cover travel expenses to the festival, but we encourage you to apply for travel support from your regional film center or similar.

Lillehammer has excellent train connections, with trains running once an hour from Oslo/Oslo Airport to Lillehammer via Vy. There are also several departures per day from Trondheim and further south with SJ NORD.

Amandus Blikkfang is operated in a sustainable manner, and we encourage the use of environmentally friendly travel options.

Accommodation

For budget-friendly accommodation options, we recommend Stasjonen Hotel, which is just a few minutes’ walk from both Kulturhuset Banken and Lillehammer cinema. Birkebeineren Hotel & Apartments also has good solutions for larger groups, albeit a bit farther from the festival area.
