Aftermath

Valentines fiance has recently passed away. The son of the local care taker, who is in charge of arranging the funeral and other practical things around the death, is on his first job by himself. He wants to do a good job in helping Valentine but he keeps on making mistakes. Valentine is so focused on taking care of the consequences of Thomas' passing away that she can't take the time to grief and process the loss.
